 1. Is the Ropeway open throughout the year?

    Yes. The Ropeway is open 365 days a year. 

 2. How safe is the Ropeway?

    Stringent technical checks are carried out every morning.

    Backup/safety measures:
    On failure of electricity, generator, diesel engine and manual operation is provided.
    There is provision of rescue ropeway. Stranded passengers can be safely transported by using rescue ropeway.

 3. Are there any facilities for the physically challenged people?

Yes. Physically challenged people are eligible for concessional rates. On special request we can provide ‘Doli’ on chargeable basis.

 4. Can I make advance reservations for the Ropeway?

No prior reservation is needed for the Ropeway. Tickets are to be bought at the site itself.

 5. Do you have arrangements for an overnight stay?

Yes. We have AC & Non AC rooms as well as Non-AC dormitory accommodation at both stations.

 6. Whom to approach for booking?

Prior reservation is needed for the accommodation. For reservation of accommodation you may contact our Pune office or Raigad office, at
